Orchid Orthopedic Solutions Alabama, LLC (Orchid Alabama), located at 2715 Bells Highway in Jackson, will invest $2.1 million for the project.

The company is a worldwide leader in the contract design and manufacture of implants, instruments and innovative technologies for the orthopedic, dental and cardiovascular markets, according to a news release.

“We are pleased that Orchid Alabama chose to grow in Jackson,” said City of Jackson Mayor Jerry Gist in a news release from the Jackson Chamber. “Jackson is a thriving community that nurtures its industries and we welcome this expansion.”

Orchid established operations in Jackson in April of this year. Due to increased product demand, the company will purchase additional equipment to increase manufacturing capacity and capabilities, and add to its existing workforce in order to meet the demand, the release said.

“Working with Team Madison County has made this process efficient and effortless,” Orchid’s Tax Accountant Keith Wasilenski said in the news release. “They have been with us from day one to help answer questions, provide assistance and ensure that our needs are met as we continue to grow in Jackson.”

The facility is an expansion of Orchid Alabama which is part of the Orchid family of companies worldwide, the release said.
