Ace Tech seeking welders

With an upswing recently noted in Bullock’s economy, as reflected mainly in the county’s lowering unemployment rate, Ace Tech plans hiring of additional welders. Applications are available at Ace Tech in the Welch Industrial Park and can be picked up from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.

“We are part of Alabama’s Automotive Supplier network, and manufacture products needed in the automotive manufacturing industry,” said Chris Park, Manager at Ace Tech. “Technically we can be classified as performing metal fabrication works, meaning we shape metal for a final work product for Hyundai and others,” he added.

One product previously and currently manufactured locally is the cart which allows manufacturing parts to be placed in “pockets” and maneuvered up and down assembly lines. Some work centers around robots.

“While we will consider all skilled level welders, and evaluate ways to help them improve their skills, we really need experienced, skilled welders right now,” emphasized Mr. Park. “I believe our work atmosphere and upcoming work contracts will become an incentive for long term employment and security at Ace Tech,” said Park.
